Let It Die

It seems as if music and movies speaks to me more than anything.  I was picking weeds out of my yard last weekend and a song came to mine, "Let It Die".  I guess I was having a little fun while "killing" my weeds.  Now if you watch many animated movies, you've heard this before but if you don't, then you may be thinking I'm heartless.  However, it is from the movie The Lorax.  The entire town is basically "fake".  There is no life. No real trees.  No flowers.  A wall was even put up to hide what was once real...but is now dead.  There is no life so to speak in Thneedville but one man has what it takes to bring life back.   He has what Thneedville needs but yet they don't even realize their need for life.  He has a tiny seed of a tree.  One little boy makes it his mission to find this seed and plant it.  Near the end of the movie, the entire town rallies together as he plants this tiny seed of life.  They begin singing the song "Let It Grow" (Not to be confused with Let It Go)...Let it grow, let it grow, like it did so long ago.  It is just one tiny seed, but it's all we really need.  It's time to change the life we lead, time to let it grow.

One man, Mr. O'Hare, wanted it to die.  He wanted to continue living a "fake" life but others were ready for change.  They were ready for growth.  For life.  They wanted everything to be real.  There are people desperate for life.  They are desperate to see real people.  People that learn from their past.  People that grow.  People that aren't fake.  People that stand for something.  It's time for all of us to take off any mask that we may wear and be real.  People need to see real!  People don't learn from "perfect"  lives but they learn from reality.  I say...Let It Grow!!!

Watch closely with whom you associate.  Is there life or death?  The seeds you plant in your life today will change your tomorrow.  Do you want those seeds to die or grow?
